Anxiety is a universal and natural experience that everyone suffers with at some point in their lives, the only variable is the severity.
Anxiety is only a problem when it becomes more frequent or severe than the person is able to tolerate.
The symptoms can either be physical or mental.
Physically: it can affect almost any part of the body, the most common ones are, shaking, sweating, feeling your heart pounding, breathing difficulties, muscle pain, headaches, and a feeling of tension etc.
Emotionally: it can lead someone to have feelings of impending doom, their lives are out of control, feel like they are going mad or maybe have a feeling that they could do something inappropriate leading to shame or guilt.
With any of the above symptoms, it can be debilitating, making life feel unmanageable.
